A dying relative.
As mush as you like
To keep the child in the dark about that,
The truth comes out.
And when it does
The news coming from others and not
The one who "protects" the child
Hurts the child more.
It causes trust issues,
And the feeling of not being able
To depend on
The protector at all.
No matter how much you try,
Protecting the child from horrendous news
Is something that
Is done in vain.
